UPDATES – WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 18th

GOAL 1:   STUDENT SUCCESS:   SY 2017-18 Open House: Open House is happening this Tuesday, August 29th from 6 – 7:30 p.m.  PTSA will be sponsoring a pizza dinner for students, parents and faculty from 6 – 6:25 p.m. in the cafeteria.   NHS students will be assisting parents to log into Infinite Campus during that time.  Parents will then move to their child(ren)’s Hui & Academy meetings and attached is a schedule for that evening.  Thank you in advance  for helping to make this evening an informative experience as it really helps set the tone for the school year….

GOAL 1:   STUDENT SUCCESS:   International Guests: Three high school students and their advisor representing Japan’s Ishigaki City, Okinawa Prefecture schools will be visiting our campus this week. Over these past years, this goodwill exchange program has helped to promote strong cultural understanding and appreciation.  Guests will be shadowing their host students all four periods including extra-curricular activities.  Thank you in advance for everyone’s support and hospitality. UPDATE -WEEK OF AUGUST 14th

GOAL 1:   STUDENT SUCCESS:  School Wide Consistent Practices: Teachers are reminded about our agreement to be consistent in taking role within the first ten minutes of class, having an opening (bell-to-bell) activity where students know what to do when they walk into your classrooms, reminding students to put their cell phones away, and monitoring that students are wearing their school shirts.   Wanted to also share that the opening week of school went quite smoothly overall.
