Goal 1: STUDENT SUCCESS Academy Interdisciplinary Capstone: Per our mid-term WASC visit, we are reminded us about those key areas that we need to focus on……. interdisciplinary projects, capstone and improving our state assessment scores for Math and Science. Asking our CTE lead teachers to work with their academies to solidify pathway interdisciplinary capstone programs to ensure relevancy for all students. Goal 1: STUDENT SUCCESS WASC Visitation: Our mid-term WASC visitation is happening this Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017. Visiting team members Chair Elden Esmeralda, Principal and Robin Kitsu, Curriculum Coordinator will be on campus prior to the start of school and remain until they finalize their review. Reminder that this mid-term visit is to confirm our collective progress in addressing those identified areas per the WASC report. Goal 1: STUDENT SUCCESS Natural Resources Pathway: Want to acknowledge teachers Kylie Hashizaki, Brandon Fujita and their students for a wonderful job in preparing the field for our Agriculture & Animal System pathways. Over the past weeks teachers & students (including custodial staff) have really done great job in the cleaning and prepping the agriculture land area…..truly lots of hard work! Goal 1:  STUDENT SUCCESS Quarter I Marks: Reminder that Quarter 1 marks are to be posted in Infinite Campus no later than Monday Oct. 23 by 3:00 p.m.  Teachers were given extra time to work on this so that all marks will be done on time. Teachers who have TA’s please be sure to give the TA an “S” or “U”. UPDATES – WEEK OF OCT. 16th

Per our Early College journey, wanted to highlight Waipahu High School’s Ms. Rovy Dipaysa.   Rovy is currently a senior and taking Early College courses from Leeward Community College.   She has been taking Early College courses since grade 9  and currently has enough credits for an Associate of Arts (AA) in Liberal Arts and Associate of Science (AS) in Philippine Studies.  Ms. Dipaysa will be completed with her AA and AS requirements this December, one semester before she officially graduates from Waipahu High in June 2018.   Rovy has applied for admission at Chaminade University’s Nursing Program for Fall 2018…
